GLOCER Conference is dedicated to bringing together a vibrant community of researchers, scientists, scholars, and students to exchange groundbreaking ideas, share their latest research findings, and discuss the future of Global Education and Research. The official language of the conference is English, ensuring a global exchange of ideas. We warmly invite and encourage prospective authors to submit their original research (not previously submitted, published, or under consideration elsewhere). Distinguished experts in the field will rigorously review all submissions through a double-blind process.

Submission Categories:
To ensure smooth processing, all documents should only be submitted in Word document (.doc or .docx) formats.
- The Abstract Only category should be at least 1,000 words (excluding the reference list and NOT exceeding 7,000 words).
- Full paper should be at least 3,000 words (excluding reference list and appendices if applicable) but NOT exceed 7,000 words (including tables, figures, reference list, and appendices if applicable)
- Roundtable discussions should be at least 1,000 words (excluding reference list NOT exceeding 7,000 words).
- Symposium presentations should be at least 1,000 words (excluding reference list NOT exceeding 7,000 words).
- Poster presentations should be at least 1,000 words (excluding reference list NOT exceeding 7,000 words).
Paper Submission:
PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE ANY IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION, INCLUDING “NAME, UNIVERSITY, AFFILIATION, CONTACT ADDRESS, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, FUNDING RESOURCES, ETC.” IN THE “SUBMISSION” DOCUMENT. THIS CONFERENCE USES A DOUBLE-BLIND PEER REVIEW PROCESS.
Best Paper Selection Rules
- Best papers will be selected only from full papers (Should be minimum 3,000 words excluding reference list and appendices if applicable but NOT exceed 7,000 words including tables, figures, reference list, and appendices if applicable)
- Authors must submit their camera-ready full papers one month before the conference dates.
- The papers that were nominated by the reviewers will be sent to the best paper selection committee. Based on the committee’s decision, the authors will be informed.
- The author or at least one co-author must attend and present the selected paper.
- All winning authors will get a complimentary registration for the next conference.
- The selected papers may be considered to be published at the Journal of Global Education and Research (JGER)
Publication Options:
There will be four publication options at the GLOCER Conference:
- Journal of Global Education and Research Article*: Authors who submitted full papers to the GLOCER conference are invited to submit their full papers to the Journal of Global Education and Research (JGER), which is an open-access journal published by the University of South Florida (USF) M3 Publishing. These papers will undergo a fast-track review process by the JGER reviewers and editors, but publication is not guaranteed.
- Advances on Global Education and Research Book Chapter*: Authors who submitted full papers to the GLOCER conference have the option to publish their full papers in the ISBN open-access book published by the University of South Florida (USF) M3 Publishing. Please see the previous four book volumes here.
- Conference Proceedings Publication*: All authors who submit a manuscript under any submission category to the GLOCER conference have the option to publish their 200-300 word abstracts in the GLOCER Conference Proceedings. Please take a look at the previous four conference proceedings here.
- No publication: Authors may opt-in for no publication at all.
- *All manuscripts will be screened through Turnitin before publication. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% or any single source cited more than 2% (exceptions will be given to properly cited tables or scales) will NOT be published.
- *Authors are allowed to publish their abstract in conference proceedings if they submit it to JGER or publish it as a book chapter.
- *Authors who select to submit their manuscript to JGER are NOT allowed to publish their manuscript as a book chapter.
- *Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the formatting guidelines. It is required to download our Word templates and use them for your manuscripts. Please read the guidelines carefully; all formatting specifications are explained in this document so you can prepare your manuscripts accordingly. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in your manuscript not being published.

Important Notes:
- After your submission is accepted, you are required to:
(1) send your abstract or completed full paper in the required conference format (Please click to see formatting guidelines here)
(2) make your payment and register for the conference. - At least one of the authors must register for the conference; otherwise, the paper will not be scheduled for the conference program and published.
- Please note that prospective attendees will be allowed to present a maximum of three research studies.
Conference Session Formats:
Sessions will vary in order to provide a robust conference experience for presenters and participants. Presenters are asked to identify their preferred format during submission; however, proposal reviewers may suggest alternative formats suitable to your manuscript.
1. Concurrent Presentations ()
Concurrent Presentations are sessions that present research, theory, concepts, and practices. This track welcomes papers that are fully completed research papers for stand-up presentations. Concurrent sessions are 20 minutes long, including a Q&A session. Submissions are required to be either conceptually- or empirically-based. Conceptually-based papers seek to develop a fuller understanding of education by building on existing knowledge. Empirically-based papers are original research that tests or develops a theory or makes a new contribution to the field’s knowledge base.
2. Roundtable Discussions
Roundtable Discussions create opportunities for small groups to engage in discussion about a particular educational topic. Generally, these sessions consist of 6-12 people and are held at large, round conference tables. The proposal must include a list of 2-3 clearly stated discussion questions to encourage participation among the audience. Please note that several roundtable discussions happen simultaneously in the same large room, so formal presentations using slides and/or other support media are NOT possible.
3. Symposium Presentations
Symposium Presentations are formal presentations on an educational topic. Typically conducted in presentation format, these are used to report interesting initial findings from a research project. Since these sessions are not blind-reviewed, they are not designed for complete research projects. Symposium sessions are 20 minutes long, including a Q&A session.
4. Poster Presentations
Poster Presentations provide an opportunity to present and discuss one main research theme, program, practice, or relevant topic in an informal setting, like an exhibit hall or information fair. The poster session submission includes (1) the significance of the study, (2) the literature preview, (3) the proposed methodology, and (4) the implication/application for education. A good poster session centers on one main theme, presents valuable information, and stimulates discussion. The recommended poster size is 36” tall x 48” wide. (90cm tall, 120cm wide).
