Paper Submission

Submission Categories:

To ensure smooth processing, all documents should only be submitted in Word document (.doc or .docx) formats. 

  1. Abstract should be between 500-1,000 words
  2. Full papers are 6,000 words maximum
  3. Extended abstracts are 1,500 words maximum

Paper Submission:

PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE ANY IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION, INCLUDING “NAME, UNIVERSITY, AFFILIATION, CONTACT ADDRESS, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, FUNDING RESOURCES, ETC.” IN THE “SUBMISSION” DOCUMENT. THIS CONFERENCE USES A DOUBLE-BLIND PEER REVIEW PROCESS.

Best Paper Selection Rules:

  1. Best papers will be selected only from full papers (Should be minimum 3,000 words excluding reference list and appendices if applicable, but NOT exceeding 6,000 words including tables, figures, reference list, and appendices if applicable)
  2. The papers that were nominated by the reviewers will be sent to the best paper selection committee. Based on the committee’s decision, the authors will be informed.
  3. The author or at least one co-author must attend and present the selected paper.
  4. The selected papers may be considered to be published in the Journal of Global Education and Research (JGER)

Publication Options:

There will be four publication options at the GLOCER Conference:

  1. Journal of Global Education and Research Article*: Authors of papers selected as Best Papers will be offered the opportunity to fast-track their submissions to the Journal of Global Education and Research (JGER), which is an open-access journal published by the University of South Florida (USF) M3 Publishing. These papers will undergo a fast-track review process by the JGER reviewers and editors, but publication is not guaranteed.
  2. Advances in Global Education and Research Book Chapter*: Authors who submitted full papers to the GLOCER conference have the option to publish their full papers in the ISBN open-access book published by the University of South Florida (USF) M3 Publishing. Please see the previous four book volumes here.
  3. Conference Proceedings Publication*: All authors who submit a manuscript under any submission category to the GLOCER conference have the option to publish their 1-page abstracts in the GLOCER Conference Proceedings. Please take a look at the previous four conference proceedings here.
  4. No publication: Authors may opt for no publication at all.
  • *All manuscripts will be screened through Turnitin before publication. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% or any single source cited more than 2% (exceptions will be given to properly cited tables or scales) will NOT be published.
  • *Authors are allowed to publish their abstract in conference proceedings if they submit it to JGER or publish it as a book chapter.
  • *Authors who select to submit their manuscript to JGER are NOT allowed to publish their manuscript as a book chapter.
  • *Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the formatting guidelines. It is required to download our Word templates and use them for your manuscripts. Please read the guidelines carefully; all formatting specifications are explained in this document so you can prepare your manuscripts accordingly. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in your manuscript not being published.
